Remembering Lorien Denham

A Meridian mother marked what would have been her daughter's 31st birthday.

Friends joined Stephanie Denham in remembering the daughter she lost 22 years ago because of a drunk driver.

"We've just decided to do something fun, and do something different. And so friends of Lorien's come up from Hattiesburg and we are having lunch. I've asked everybody to smile extra today. And if someone asks why they are smiling, to tell them about Lorien "

Lorien was a passenger in a vehicle hit by Joey Holloman.

Holloman is still serving a 30-year sentence without the possibility of parole for the death.
