Terrific Tigers Recognized

Students who've been making a difference at their school this year got a chance to be honored Tuesday.
Students who were a part of the Terrific Tiger program at T.J. Harris Elementary School were the guests of the Meridian Civitan Club.
The program recognizes and rewards students who behave in such a way that makes the school a better, more pleasant place for everyone.
"It's a great program," said teacher Ray Matheny. "It has won two statewide awards. And our staff loves it, our teachers love it, and our students love it."
The Meridian Civitan Club has been funding the Terrific Tiger program for several years. As part of that, school officials and students come once a year to explain how the program works.
