As a new corporation looks to take over the East Mississippi Correctional Facility, several employees who had been working at the prison are wondering why the aren't getting a shot at jobs at the prison.
Management and Training Corporation is hosting training sessions for prospective employees in Meridian, and during a session Thursday, several participants say they were called out of a session, and given a letter saying they are no longer eligible for a position at the prison.
"All of us were former employees of GEO," says Nannette Tanksley, "they will not tell us what was in our background check and we just want to know what it was."
We did leave a message at MTC headquarters although it ws after 5 PM before we could place the call.
We are working on getting reaction from MTC.
