Anonymous, I am wide awake, please explain to me how this law holds any "group" back. If parents don't send their kids to school seems to me the parents are holding them back. Take responsibility for yourself and stop looking for an excuse, good grief.
I do have to wonder though, how much taxpayer money was spent getting a law passed that will affect 50 students statewide.

I'm curious about how that keeps a certain group of people held back? On a different note, James Dobson (FOTF) has always advocated holding boys (who have a late birthday) back a year to give them extra time to mature and be ready. I recall him encouraging parents to, if possible, put them in a 1/2 day K program first, then the full day K program, then 1st grade. Since boys tend to mature more slowly, it makes sense to provide that extra bit of time. I hope AL will do what is in the best interest of ALL students. Sadly, many states do not.
