There's a place where you can find some unique items and gifts and also help out a local school.
It's one of the booths set up at The Atrium mini-mall on Poplar Springs Drive. It's called Panda Place.
The booth was started by Carroll Wicker, the fundraising chairman for the PTO at Poplar Springs Elementary.
They have lots of items available, and all of the money raised goes to Poplar Springs School.
"My goal as fundraising chairman is to have an ongoing source of revenue so that children don't have to sell things to their parents, which is who eventually buys most of what they're selling, or their grandparents," said Wicker.
Since August 2011, the booth has brought in about $5,000. As part of it, the PTO was able to give each teacher a $100 gift card for school supplies this year.
