With the first major tropical threat of the summer swirling in the Gulf of Mexico, we're keeping an eye on area hotels.

Tropical Storm Debby is dumping lots of rain on the Florida coast this weekend.

We checked with area hotels to find out if anyone was getting out of the way of the storm.

Three Meridian hotels report that no one has evacuated to the Queen City, though there have been some callers checking on prices and locations.
