Members of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes held prayer walks on local campuses Monday.

One was held Monday morning at Southeast Lauderdale High School. Another was held in the afternoon at Northeast Lauderdale High.

FCA members prayed for all students, saying they everyone to get off to a good start this year.

"It's such a hard time for every student," said Shelby Carlisle of NE Lauderdale's FCA. "They need help, and we are here to give it to them, because they don't know what to do and they don't know how to pull through things, and God is the way, and we're just trying to show them that."

This is the first prayer walk the Northeast FCA has ever done, but members say they plan to do it again at the end of the school year.
