Meridian police say a local man has been charged with an armed robbery that happened Monday night at a gas station.

Police say Gregory Lynn Moore, 48, of Meridian held up the Murphy USA gas station near the Bonita Wal-Mart around 8 p.m.

Police say he was found a few minutes later at a local motel, and was taken into custody after a scuffle with police.

Two other people were also taken into custody. They were questioned and released without being charged.
