Local community college students will be headed back to classes soon. Those attending East Mississippi Community College in Scooba will be greeted with a new state of the art student center.
The facility includes a commons area, a book store, and a grill, among other amenities.
EMCC officials say the $6.6 million center will be a drastic change to the atmosphere of the school.
"As we bring all these different amenities together is to better serve the student population," said EMCC president, Dr. Rick Young.
The student union was built with money the school had saved over a several year period of time, from state allocations and other places.
