MHA Holds Community Cleanup Day

On Saturday, the Meridian Housing Authority and community volunteers came out to support and help with the cleanup at and around the George Reese Courts.

Mayor Cheri Barry and city councilwoman Mary Perry were also on hand for the event. Perry lives in the area and gave an inspirational speech during the cleanup.

The Meridian Housing Authority is asking for a $30 million grant to be used to refurbish George Reese Courts and roughly a one mile radius around it.
