Send Wreck Knocks Out Power

A wreck late Tuesday night knocked out power to some customers on Poplar Springs Drive.

A motorist hit a utility pole and knocked it down onto the vehicle just before 11 p.m.

The accident happened near 24th Street

The driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Investigators have not said what caused the man to lose control.
