Swanner Evades Capture

For the second time in just a few days, Lauderdale County deputies spent time searching for a suspect who ran from them.

Authorities say Lynn Jerome Swanner ran Wednesday when they tried to serve a warrant on him for grand larceny at a home on Zero Road. It's the second time in about a week officials say Swanner evaded capture.

Swanner was also wanted in connection with a burglary case last week. He was finally captured on that charge and then released on bond.

"Deputies responded to the 6600 block of Zero Road, to a residence," said Sollie. "When they arrived, the individual bolted out the back door into a wooded area."

Investigators used canine teams to search for Swanner. Authorities say they consider Swanner dangerous, but don't think he's armed. If you know where Swanner is, call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860.
