School Seeks Involvement from Parents

A local middle school is taking steps to give parents an idea of what goes on in the classroom.

Carver Middle School hosted a family literacy night at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday night. Organizers say they chose to hold the event away from the school as a way to involve the entire community. Parents had an opportunity to learn, just as their child would.

Carver Middle plans to host additional sessions beginning in February.
