Christmas with Chris Set for Sunday

Singer and musician Chris Evans is presenting 'Christmas with Chris' Dec. 9 to benefit the children served by Wesley House.

The concert will also include other performers such as the Kaiser Singers of Yazoo City, Deona Boyd, Sincerity and Michael Smith & Company.

The night of Christmas music is a fundraiser for the children served by Wesley House.

"I know some kids want extravagant things for Christmas, but these kids only want small things like underwear, toys, socks, shoes," said Evans. "And so this event is a Christmas concert but as well we want to go ahead and get those items to those kids at the Wesley House to have a good Christmas this year."

'Christmas with Chris' will be Sunday, Dec. 9 at
5 p.m. at 31st Baptist Church, 34-11 20th Street in Meridian.

Admission is free, but the public is invited to bring new, unwrapped toys and to make monetary donations to Wesley House.
