Tuesday Night Armed Robberies

Meridian Police are investigating a string of armed robberies that all occurred within about 40 minutes of each other Tuesday night.

The first occurred at 7:30 PM when a 13 year old was jumped by 3 black males in Highland Park. No one was injured in that incident.

The second occurred also about 7:30 PM when a man was walking near the intersection of 20th Street and 25th Avenue was approached by 2 black males.. He was shot in the arm and went to the hospital, where police were called to the incident. His injuries are not life-threatening.

The third armed robbery occurred when a man was was held at gunpoint at 5215 5th Street just after 8:00 PM. No one was injured.
