Meridian police have charged a suspect in a Monday shooting in a Meridian neighborhood.

38-year-old Charles D. Brown faces a charge of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $250,000.

Brown is accused of shooting a person in the 900 block of 28th Avenue late Monday morning.

The 24-year-old victim underwent surgery for the wound and was listed in critical condition.
