Services for Mrs. Helen S. Denton will be held at 10:30 am Monday, July 23, 2012 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Giles and Rev. Virgil Walters officiating. Interment will be held at the Church Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Denton, age 86, of Meridian, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at her home. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Herman “Pete” Denton; her Daughter, Cathy Denton Carpenter and her husband Bill; her Two Sons, Dr. Ray Denton and his wife Rhonda and William R. “Bob” Denton Sr. and his wife Kim, all of Suqualena, MS. She is survived by her Four Grandsons, Will Carpenter and his wife Katie, Matthew D. Carpenter, Peter Carpenter, and Bobby Denton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.L. and Eunice Smith; her brother and sisters, Robert Wilson, Moselle Dunn, Herman Smith, Elizabeth Plummer, and Margaret Hatten.

Pallbearers will be Will Carpenter, Matthew Carpenter, Pete Carpenter, Bobby Denton, Jimmy Smith and Mike Howington.

Visitation will be held at Webb Funeral Home on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 5 – 7 p.m.
