Barbara Odessa Slattery

Memorial services for Barbara Odessa Slattery, 83 of Hickory, who died Friday, February 1, 2013 at her home, will be held at a later date.

She enjoyed working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and playing "aggravation" and fishing. Traveling and watching T.V. were favorite past times. She also enjoyed eating out at Boro's, her favorite resturant, until it closed. She and her late husband, enjoyed serving together in the U.S. Navy, and she particlarly valued her role as a "Navy wife."

She was preceded in death by: Husband: George F. Slattery; Son: Edward Eugene Slattery; Parents: Bill and Pearl Westmoreland Bullock; and Brothers: Darrell and Bill Bullock

Survivors Include: Sons: James Rogers, San Fransico, California and Donald Slattery and his fiance' Brenda Rasbury, Hickory, MS; Daughter: Alice and her husband Ronnie Pearson, Little Rock, MS; 12 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren and one on the way
