Southeast Lauderdale's Crystal Clay Honored

• By the numbers: Clay, a 6-3 senior post player, had 28 points and 15 rebounds in a 98-46 win over Philadelphia and 23 points and 10 rebounds in a 74-17 win over Heidelberg.
• Coach-speak: “Crystal is having an outstanding season,” said Joe Miller. “She is an excellent offensive player and a force on defense.”
• The 411: Clay is averaging 18 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks.
• Born: Jan. 1, 1994 in Newport News, Va.
• Favorite athlete: Dwyane Wade
• Toughest opponent: Victoria Vivians (Scott Central)
• College: She is undecided about a college, but plans to be a sports medicine major.
• Transfer: Clay is in her first season at Southeast Lauderdale after transferring from Clarkdale, and she loves her new team. “We have a sisterhood,” she said.
