Neither EMCC basketball team held the lead Thursday night in Senatobia as the visitors were swept by the home-standing Rangers of Northwest Mississippi.

The Lady Lions fell 81-64, while the Men dropped a 79-67 decision.

While falling into a first-place tie with Northwest (4-1 marks) in the MACJC's North Division men's standings, the Lions lost for just the fourth time in four seasons in division play. The EMCC men are now 37-4 within the division spanning back to the 2009-10 season.

The Lions are now 11-5 overall on the year, while the Lady Lions are 3-13 overall and 1-4 within the division.

The EMCC basketball teams return home to play host to Coahoma this coming Monday and then welcome Holmes next Thursday in Scooba.

Tip-off times are set for 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. both dates at EMCC's Keyes T. Currie Coliseum.
