A first for Bowyer
SONOMA, Calif. (AP) -- Clint Bowyer (BOY'-ur) raced to his first
victory on a road course, and first with Michael Waltrip Racing.
Bowyer held off 2011 race winner Kurt Busch to take the
checkered flag at Sonoma.
A caution with four laps remaining set up a final restart and
overtime finish, and forced Bowyer to earn the victory. He raced
side-by-side with Busch at the green flag, but cleared Busch and
pulled away for the win.
Tony Stewart passed Busch on the final lap to claim second, and
Busch wound up third.
