The Meridian Police Department has ruled an alleged hit and run incident a domestic dispute.
Responders were called Saturday night to the scene at North Hills Street and State Boulevard. A woman told police she jumped out of her boyfriend's car because he was beating her. She continued to say that when she jumped out the car rolled over her foot.
Police say both the male and female have been charged with simple assault. After the accident, the woman was transported to a hospital for treatment.
