A missing west Alabama man was found dead in the Tombigbee River Tuesday morning.

Crews from Tuscaloosa searched for several hours for 21-year-old Adrian Crawford of Demopolis.

Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese said people also searched Monday night for the man who was last seen fishing in the area early Monday.

The man was found near the Demopolis Civic Center. An autopsy will be performed to determine why he died.

I'm very sorry to hear this happened. It's possible for even good swimmers to drown. I don't know if he was wearing a life jacket or not. He might have had a seizure or hit his head falling. I have heard of someone sitting alone on a dock fishing, having a seizure and falling in and drowning. I hope this was just a terrible accident and not something worse. I will pray for the family.

this is my brother. I feel like he didn't slip in that river. My brother used to swim in that river when we was younger. I don't see how he could have went in that river without trying to swim to the other side or something. That just don't seem right and it don't add up to me. if anyone know anything please contact his mother and his wife.
