Perdie on a Mission Across America

A New York City man is walking across the country to bring awareness to what he calls the dangers of a growing government and massive spending.

Matthew Perdie crossed the Alabama-Mississippi line Tuesday afternoon. He started his journey June 22 at the northeast tip of Long Island, New York.

Perdie is carrying an American flag to draw attention to the problem he says was created by the previous and current White House administrations and Congress.

"If there's a chance that we can make people aware of something that is totally unconstitutional and very harmful to the capitalist system of this society, then yeah, I think it's absolutely worth it," said Perdie. "I'm not completely sure if it will make a difference, but I'm gonna do it anyway."

Perdie is taping his journey as a mini-series and uploading clips to his web site. A link to that Web site is available below.

Perdie plans to continue walking, with the goal of reaching Santa Monica, California, in the spring.

I feel that if the Government NEVER took GOD away from our school system, our courts, and many other places, (including, attemptin to take it out of our money).... our Nation would NOT BE IN the MESS it is in NOW! Our country began with GODs word! Leave it be, you don't like it, get over it, ignore it, don't spend our money, home school your children, start your OWN church for yourselves on your beliefs! DON'T TAKE IT AWAY FROM US WHO DO BELIEVE!!!!!!

Funny how dissent was great when Bush was in office but now that his eminence is president, everyone is supposed to sit down and shut up.

I agree that budget deficits are bad, but I can't see how they are unconstitutional. It is a little bit silly for everyone to profess that things they disagree with are unconstitutional. Those Tea Party folks do the same thing.
