A judge has scheduled a hearing Jan. 7 on a suit filed by Democratic legislators trying to stop a state computer contract signed by Gov. Bob Riley.

Circuit Judge Tom King, Jr., of Jefferson County will have the hearing in Montgomery. King got appointed to hear the case after all the circuit judges in Montgomery stepped aside.

The suit challenges the Riley administration's contract with Paragon Source, a company that has no listed phone number and no Web site. The governor has defended the company's work for the state.
