Accessory Charged in Yantley Attempted Robbery

One person is facing a charge in connection with an alleged attempted robbery that led to the death of a west Alabama man.

18-year-old Daysha Rushing of Lisman, Ala., is charged as an accessory in the attempted armed robbery of the Citgo in Yantley Oct. 20.

During that incident, 19-year-old Choctaw County High School graduate, Daniel Law, Jr., entered the store carrying a gun, demanding money, and was shot by the store owner.

The owner is not facing any charges. Rushing's case is expected to be presented to a grand jury in February.

I do believe that this is a step for the positive for the owners of that store. While it is unfortunate to what happen, these things do happen and protection is a right that we as Americans are given. If you were not there in person, you shouldn't tell who was there and what happened... who was involved and whatnot... that is what the police authorities are there for. They are doing their job and I think they are slowing getting down to the bottom of what happened... If you choose not to step FOOT into the store, I can rest assure you that no one will be crying over it. Thanks for reporting and keeping us up to date as to what is going on!

i think that it was wrong that the store was robbed but y'all also got to this the girl wasn't there and ya'll don'know what happen so you all can't really say what was going on so mind your own buisness and the girl don't need no time because she wasn't there the man is races anyway he was ready to kill a black man anyway so leave the girl alone because i know that she didn't have nothing to do with it the owner is races and that's all to it i will never step feet in that store again because i'm a black person so let the stuff alone people

I have been knowing this man most of my life and I can tell you this they picked the wrong old man to try and rob. He is no bad ___ but he is not scared either. Mr. Wayne I am sorry this happened to you but it could have been you . You did the only thing you could have done. So all you would be robbers out there people are tired of you taking their money and they are going to start fighting back. So as I heard an old cop say one time son jail is better than hell. In this case at least for the family.
