Officials confirm the shooting of a female employee at 3:09 p.m. Wednesday at Livingston High School. It was described as a domestic disturbance.
The Sumter County School District said the shooting happened outside of the building. The school was locked down afterward. No students were hurt or involved.
Livingston City Administrator Johnny Meadows told Newscenter 11 that the suspect fled the area in a vehicle that was later involved in a crash in Marengo County, and that he was apprehended.
