Sumter County Schools will get some new teachers, thanks to a program announced by Gov. Bob Riley Thursday.
Riley says Teach for America will place teachers in several Black Belt counties, including Sumter.
It's part of a plan by the group to bring thirty top college graduates in to teach in some of the state's schools of highest need for the 2010/2011 school year.
Marengo County will also receive teachers through this initiative.
