LIVINGSTON, Alabama --- The UWA softball squad had a double header against Valdosta State scheduled for Saturday. Before the games began, the Lady Tigers added an honorary teammate to their roster.

Ella Norris is a two year old from Thomasville, Alabama. She has been undergoing treatment for a brain tumor, and a foundation called Friends of Jaclyn, which pairs children with area sports teams, brought Ella and the Lady Tigers together.

The team presented Ella with a jersey, bat, and name plate for her locker. They also will retire the number 6 with Ella's name, and no Lady Tiger player will ever wear the number again.

The team has already gone on a trip to the zoo with their new teammate, and some players plan on spending their Easter Sunday with Ella and her family.
