Alabama consumers have reserved the entire $4.2 million available for appliance rebates in less than three weeks.
The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs reports that the final rebate for buying an energy-efficient appliance was reserved Thursday afternoon.
ADECA Director Doni Ingram says the department is operating a waiting list in case people who reserved a rebate don't send in the require documentation within 15 days. Applications on the waiting list will be processed in the order they are received when unclaimed funds become available.
Consumers can get on the waiting list by going to a website (http://www.alrebates.com) or by calling (877) 856-6645.
