Veterinarians at Till-Newell Animal Hospital say they see numerous instances of heat stroke among animals every year, especially in dogs.
They suggest you find ways to keep them cool.
"Dogs that are outside, they need to have shade; they need to have plenty of fresh, cool water to drink," said Dr. Daniel Newell. "A fan is a good thing, especially if they're in a kennel, if you can rig up a box fan or something like that."
Newell says water should be refilled at least once a day for outside dogs, but preferably numerous times. He also suggests kiddy pools for dogs, or just bringing them inside if you can.
