Amateur radio enthusiasts across the country, including many in our area, are getting set for an annual event this weekend.
Saturday is "Field Day," a day when licensed ham radio operators fire up their gear individually or in groups to brush up on their skills, and also to practice group operations in case of emergency.
The Boy Scouts will be on hand Saturday morning learning all about ham radio operation, and the Field Day will continue through the afternoon.
The local Field Day will be Saturday at 3416 Causeyville-Whynot Road.
