Lisa Cleveland has her hands full, literally, she rescued more than a dozen newborn puppies after finding them alone in a ditch on the side of a road in Hickory.

That was Tuesday, and since then, she and a couple of family members have been caring for the dogs.

"I'm having to feed them like four times a day, and with one person feeding them it takes about two hours to feed them," says Cleveland, who admits it's time consuming, but she is willing to do what she needs to do until these puppies find a permanent home.

Cleveland says that she could not find a shelter or foster families that could handle such a large number of young dogs.

That's where you come in, Cleveland is offering the puppies for free as long as they go to a good home.

If you are interested, you can call Lisa Cleveland at 601-646-0638.
