Former Gov. Don Siegelman says the thing he dreads most about reporting to prison next month is missing his family.

Siegelman told WAKA-TV that his family has been the best supporters anyone could ask for.

A federal judge recently re-sentenced Siegelman to six and one-half years in prison for bribery and other convictions.

Siegelman is supposed to report to prison Sept. 11. He said he always thought he would win his case on appeal and would not have to go back to prison.

Siegelman has already served nine months. He will get credit for that. His attorneys say that plus credit for good behavior could shorten his prison time to about five years.
