The Itawamba County Times reports that 55-year-old Dwight Bowling of Smithville, Miss., is charged with one count of fondling and two each of sexual battery and exploiting a child.
Defense attorney Christy McCoy could not be reached Thursday night.
Until he was arrested Sept. 17 on federal charges accusing him of sex with boys, Bowling coached in Sulligent, Ala., 40 minutes from Smithville.
That trial is scheduled for Jan. 3 on four counts of coercing a minor into sex, and one of harassing a witness.
Bowling remains held without bond in the Lafayette County Jail, and on administrative leave from his job.
