A federal judge has refused to let a Kemper County woman out of jail until her sentencing in the kidnapping of a 6-year-old relative.
Jesse Mae Pollard was convicted last month on federal kidnapping and obstruction charges.
She faces 20 years to life in prison. Her sentencing is set for Feb. 18, 2014.
Pollard's attorneys filed a motion asking that she be released from jail so she can take care of personal issues before starting her prison term.
