Alabama's Seventh District congresswoman says she's taking inventory of what's on the mind of her constituents.
U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell met with residents in Butler Monday. It's part of her Congress in Your Community tour.
Sewell says she will tour ten cities in five days to listen to voters. She says one of the pressing issues on the minds of people in her district is federal cuts.
Sewell said she's in favor of targeted reductions, but not across-the-board budget cuts.
"I look forward to putting everything on the table," said Sewell. "That includes revenues, entitlement programs, everything on the table. And making a decision about how we spend the limited resources that we have in our federal government. We owe it to the people we represent, to prioritize and to spend money on things that really make a difference to our economic prosperity."
Sewell will also make stops in Demopolis, York, and Thomasville this week, as well other towns.
