An annular solar eclipse will occur Sunday. While the first hour or so of the eclipse will be visible in Mississippi and Alabama, the best viewing will be on the West Coast of the United States.
NASA says the eclipse will begin around 7 PM Central Time Sunday. Sunset will occur just before 8 PM.
An annular eclipse is similar to a total eclipse, but a total eclipse covers the entire sun. An annular eclipse leaves a ring of fire around the edge of the sun as the moon moves between Earth and the Sun.
