Throughout the weekend 50-year-old Willie Lockett of Gainesville will remain jailed in Sumter County. He's accused in the stabbing death of 39-year-old Eric Newell. Investigators say the incident happened around 10 o'clock Friday night after an argument at a house party in Gainesville. The argument involved the accused and his girlfriend. At this time Sumter County Sheriff Johnny Hatter say it is too early to determine whether more arrests will be made. As for Lockett, Sheriff Hatter says he could go before a judge for a bond hearing Monday.
