YORK, Alabama --- The recent fire at Sumter County High School is delaying the return of students.
Staff at Sumter County High will now return to work on Wednesday, and students will come back on Thursday. The fire caused smoke and water damage to facilities at the high school.
All other employees in the Sumter County school district will return Monday, with students set to return to school Tuesday.
