• Teacher Accused of Sexual Impropriety

Livingston police say they arrested a teacher at Sumter Central High School in Livingston for allegedly enticing a female student.

Police Chief Roger Tolliver says 33-year old Ricky Allen turned himself in at the Livingston Police Department Wednesday.

Tolliver says investigators spent a few weeks looking in to the claims of inappropriate contact with a female student.

"We went back and forth out to the high school. We talked to the principal; he cooperated with us," said Chief Roger Tolliver. "We also talked with the suspect, Mr. Allen, which we had him come down to the police department on several occasions, and he did."

Tolliver says Allen was transported to the Sumter County Jail after his arrest. His bond was set at $15,000.
