Thousands of dollars worth of furniture, computers, and supplies for the church's annual homecoming week were stolen from St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Ward, Ala., over the weekend.

The burglary happened sometime Saturday night.
Church member, Louise Maye, says the congregation is still in a state of shock.

"I think people that do something like that, that rob churches, don't have any feeling whatsoever," said Louise Maye. "It's sad when people break in the church and steal the stuff from the church. It was hurt yesterday, everybody was just really hurt."

Officials with the Sumter County Sheriff's Department said they didn't have any immediate suspects.
