A $5,000 reward is now being offered for information in a shooting Jan. 5 in Clarke County.
David Wayne Hailes was shot at his home on Decatur Street in Shubuta. He died Jan. 9 at the hospital.
The suspects were described as three black males.
At the time of the shooting, they were driving a black Kia Sorento with an Alabama tag.
Investigators are pursuing leads in Clarke and Wayne counties, and in west Alabama.
According to Sheriff Todd Kemp, the problem is a lack of cooperation.
"People are reluctant to talk to law enforcement about the crime," said Kemp. "The people out there responsible, you know who you are, and I'll speak to you. You know you're out there. I hope this touches your heart and I hope you get your heart right and try to do what's right and turn yourself in. And those that have information, we urge you to contact the Clarke County Sheriff's Department information with your information."
If you have information about the case, call the Clarke County Sheriff's Department at 601-776-5252.
