Tourism was celebrated Friday at the Alabama Welcome Center in Cuba.
The center held a special tourism day event to mark its 30 years of existence.
The purpose was to let visitors see just how much Alabama has to offer in the way of tourism.
"The tourists have an economic impact on the state of Alabama, because they stop, they visit, they purchase different items from the stores, when they stay with us, while they're sightseeing at our different museums and different attractions," said Jerry Hale.
The Sumter Welcome Center is one of eight welcome centers in the state of Alabama. It has served more than a million people since it opened in 1982.
