Warren County authorities are holding an Alabama man wanted on charges including attempted murder.

Sheriff Martin Pace tells the Vicksburg Post that Jerel Deon Young of Boligee, Ala., was arrested Tuesday after a tip from the U.S. Marshals Service that Young might be traveling by tugboat.

Pace says deputies picked Young up from a tugboat on the Yazoo River near the Vicksburg Harbor. Young was being held Wednesday in the county jail for Alabama authorities.

Pace says Young was sought by Sumter County, Ala., authorities for attempted murder. He also is wanted in Tuscaloosa, Ala., for robbery and in Pickens County, Ala., for burglary.
