Robbery

Yesterday at about 1700 hours, Meridian Police responded to a Robbery at a store located in the 1700 block of South Frontage Road. While enroute to the call, a description of the suspect was given and a person was taken into custody close to the scene by responding Officers. According to the victim, a male dressed as a female came into the store and shoplifted some items. When the suspect was confronted by the store employee, the suspect produced a device similar to a taser and used it to affect their escape from the store. The employee was not tased however. Charges are pending on the subject in custody. No further.

Yesterday, Meridian Police arrested 21 year old Fannetta Mitchell of Meridian and charged her with Aggravated Domestic Violence. This charge stems from an altercation on Tuesday where Mitchell allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the shoulder. The victim has been released from the hospital and is recovering. Bond was set at $15,000.

Yesterday Meridian Police arrested 32 year old Reginald J Walton of Meridian and charged him with Intimidating of a Witness. Bond was set at $50,000.
