Felony Arrest December 6, 2013
On December 2, 2013, Meridian Detectives charged 56 year old Jerry W. Griffin with felony shoplifting. This was a result of a 3rd or greater shoplifting that got upgraded to a felony. Bond was set at $5000.
On December 3, 2013, Meridian Detectives charged 31 year old Robert A. Morgan with 2 counts of burglary and grand larceny. This arrest stemmed from a burglary that occurred on November 25, 2013 in the 300 block of C Street. The house had been broken into a couple of times and an item taken from inside and an item was taken out of the back yard. Bond was set at $30000 on the2 counts of burglary and $15000 on the grand larceny.
On December 4, 2013, Meridian Detectives charged 49 year old Michael Neal with attempted burglary. This arrest stemmed from an attempted burglary on December 2, 2013 in the 600 block of 44th Avenue where officers arrived on scene and caught Neal trying to get in through a window. Bond was set at $2500.
On December 4, 2013, Meridian Detectives charged 32 year old Fredrick D. Cockrell with 2 counts of counterfeit instrument: forgery/uttering. Cockrell was trying to pass counterfeit checks on December 3, 2013. Cockrell could not bond due to being on probation.
