Sunday night at about 2130 hours, two armed and masked black males entered the Dixie station on 14th Street in an attempt to rob the clerk. The clerk pulled his own firearm and shots were exchanged between the three inside the store. The clerk received a minor grazing wound to his arm while one of the suspects was shot in the hand and the shoulder. Both suspects fled the scene on foot but the wounded one was captured within minutes hiding in an apartment in Highway Village. That suspect is under guard at a local hospital receiving treatment for his non-life threatening wounds and will be charged upon his release. Police continue to search for the second suspect described as 5-08 wearing a gray hoodie and dark pants. Please call CrimeStoppers at 601-485-1860 if you have information about the second suspect.
