Meridian Police Department Media Release

The following were reported to the Meridian PD from 02-14-2014 to 02-18-2014

Robbery

At 8:54 PM, on February 14, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a strong armed robbery in the 3500 block of 20th Street. Officers arrived at 8:57 Pm and determined that unknown B/M wearing a black hoodie had taken the victims purse. The victim had minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital. This case is still under investigation.

Commercial Burglary

There were no commercial burglaries reported.

Stolen Vehicles

At 8:14 AM, on February 14, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 800 block 29th Street. Officers arrived at 8:18 AM and determined that the keys were left in the vehicle.

At 6:24 PM, on February 15, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of North Hills Street. Officers arrived at 6:31 PM and determined that the victim had left the vehicle running to warm up.

Auto Burglary

At 6:19 AM, on February 14, 2014, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 3300 block of 8th Street. Officers arrived at 6:20 AM and determined that entry was gained through a door.

At 5:15 AM, on February 18, 2014, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 500 block of 48th Avenue. Officers arrived at 5:38 AM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

Residential Burglary

At 7:59 AM, on February 14, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 5300 block of manning Street. Officers arrived at 8:20 AM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 2:21 PM, on February 14, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 3700 block of Highland Avenue. Officer arrived at 2:28 PM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 3:46 PM, on February 14, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 3000 block of Chandler Street. Officer arrived on scene at 4:06 Pm and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 11:19 AM, on February 15, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 2900 block 7th Street. Officers arrived at 11:22 AM and determined that entry was gained through a door.

At 3:46 PM, on February 15, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 3900 block of Kings Road. Officers arrived at 3:43 Pm and determined that entry was gained through a door.

At 4:42 Pm, on February 15, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 1100 block of 24th Avenue. Officers arrived on scene at 4:44 Pm and determined that entry was gained through a door.

At 10:53 PM, on February 15, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 100 block of 71st Place. Officers arrived at 11:02 PM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 5:57 PM, on February 16, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 500 block of 54th Avenue. Officers arrived on scene at 6:03 PM and determined that entry was gained through a door.

At 7:43 PM, on February 16, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 4300 block 36th Avenue. Officers arrived at 7:47 PM and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 8:35 PM, on February 16, 2014, Meridian Police responded a burglary to the 5400 block Valley Street. Officers arrived at 8:38 Pm and determined that entry was gained through a window.

At 10:17 AM, on February 17, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 3500 block of 35th Street. Officers arrived at 10:21 AM and determined that entry was gained through a door.

At 6:15 PM, on February 17, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 600 block of 52nd Avenue. Officers arrived at 6:24 Pm and determined that entry was gained through a door.

At 11:35 PM, on February 17, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 1900 block of 36th Avenue. Officers arrived at 11:52 PM and determined that entry was gained through a door.

Shootings

At 5:14 PM, on February 14, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a shooting into a vehicle in the 900 block of 30th Avenue. Officers arrived at 5:20 PM and determined that the vehicle had been shot one time while traveling north on 30th Avenue. No one was injured and the case is under investigation.

At 10:48 AM, on February 16, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a shooting into an occupied dwelling and vehicle. Officers arrived at 10:52 Am and determined that several shots had been fired in to the residence and a vehicle parked in front of the home. No one was injured and the case is still under investigation.
