Meridian Police Department Media Release

The following were reported to the Meridian PD from 02-24-2014 to 02-25-2014

Robbery

At 11:40 PM, on February 24, 2014, a victim came into the Police responded to a report an armed robbery that occurred in the 1500 block of Tommy Webb Drive. An unknown black male made the victim go withdraw money from ATM’s at gunpoint. This case is still under investigation.

Commercial Burglary

There were no commercial burglaries reported.

Stolen Vehicles

There were no stolen vehicles reported.

Auto Burglary

At 11:37 AM, on February 24, 2014, Meridian Police responded to an auto burglary in the 200 block of 49th Avenue. Officers arrived at 12:05 PM and determined that entry was gained through door.

Residential Burglary

At 11:41 AM, on February 24, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a burglary in the 300 block of 63rd Place. Officers arrived at 11:58 AM and determined that entry was gained through a door.

Shootings

At 1:37 PM, on February 24, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a shooting call in the 500 block of Front Street Extension. Officers arrived at 1:40 PM and determined that a gold colored vehicle was shooting in the area and an apartment was shot into. No one was injured and the case is still under investigation.

At 10:41 PM, on February 24, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a shooting call in the 500 block of 54th Avenue. Officers arrived at 10:43 PM and determined that a dark colored vehicle was shooting in the area and a residence was hit. No one was injured and the shooting and the case is still under investigation.

At 11:04 PM, on February 24, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a shooting call in the 2000 block of 33rd Avenue. Officers arrived at 11:13 PM and determined that a dark colored vehicle fired multiply shots into a residence. No one was injured in this shooting and the case is still under investigation.

At 11:31 PM, on February 24, 2014, Meridian Police responded to a shooting call in the 3300 block of 21st Street. Officers arrived at 11:31 PM and determined that the house had been hit once. No one was injured in the shooting and the case is still under investigation.

Meridian Police responded to an additional 9 reports of shots fired but when Officers arrived they were unable to find any evidence of shots being fired.

Felony Arrest

On February 20, 2014, Meridian Detectives charged 27 year old Natalie L. Cole with felony fleeing. This arrest stemmed from a vehicle pursuit involving Meridian Police Officers on February 19, 2014. Cole’s bond was set at $5,000.

On February 20, 2014, Meridian Detectives charged 27 year old Christopher L. Edwards with felony fleeing. This arrest stemmed from a vehicle pursuit involving Meridian Police Officers on February 19, 2014. Edwards did not receive a bond because he is on probation hold.
